Dope Ammo is a UK jungle and drum and bass producer whose records make strong use of vocals and familiar songs. His own label, Dope Ammo Records, provides a home for that music, alongside collaborations that bring singers, MCs and other producers into the studio.
The catalogue includes Let Me Be Your Fantasy and his version of Feeling Good with Jasmine Knight. The latter received an official release in 2023, with remixes from Halflight, Zapya and T-Phonic alongside the original. Giving the same vocal to several producers opened the record to different approaches while keeping the song at its centre.
Later work includes Happiness, made with Kleu and Elisabeth Troy, and Here Comes The Danger with Sweetie Irie. The vocal partnerships are part of a wider release programme that also includes remixes and new versions, making the label catalogue a useful way to follow the connections between the artists involved.
Jungle is explicit in his own description of the music, and the recorded work sits alongside a busy history of performing at festivals and clubs. Glastonbury, Boomtown and international bookings have all featured in that career. He also shares production knowledge through teaching and tutorial work, linking the records people hear on a system with the practical work that goes into making them.
