goddard. is a producer, DJ, and songwriter from Northamptonshire whose drum and bass puts songs and emotion at the centre. His remix of Cat Burns’ Go brought a wider audience, followed by messy in heaven with venbee, a collaboration that opened up international touring and further writing partnerships.
He had discovered the genre as a listener, exploring RAM, Hospital, and Playaz before UKF’s uploads widened that picture. Cat Burns remained part of his story after the remix, with Wasted Youth becoming his first Atlantic release. Further collaborations include Charlotte Haining, Pola & Bryson, and Dread MC.
On Drowning Mind, singer Billy Lockett’s vocal suggested the direction immediately. What started with one stem grew into a larger exchange of recordings, giving goddard. more of the voice to build around. The song was tested on the road before its release through UKF.
His own Rabbit Hole label and creative platform also grew from an older interest in events. Before producing, he worked on art installations and stage design for festivals. He has spoken about wanting that attention to an audience’s experience to shape his own events, building a community around the music as well as a home for the records.
