Grafix is the solo project of drum and bass producer Josh Jackson. Previously one half of Fred V & Grafix, he has developed a separate catalogue centred on melodic, energetic music for the dancefloor.
Working alone brought a practical change as well as a different name on the sleeve. Jackson has explained that a duo can settle into dividing up production tasks; going solo meant taking responsibility for the whole process again, while gaining control over the music's sound and visual identity.
His first solo album, Half Life, arrived in 2022 through Hospital Records. The fourteen-track collection was deliberately focused on drum and bass rather than a tour through different genres. He wanted it to work both in a club and at home, and to introduce new listeners to his own musical direction.
The solo discography continued with Don't Slow Down in 2025. The distinction between the earlier duo and Grafix matters when exploring those releases: the shared melodic background is still part of his story, but the solo records reflect the production choices and creative control of one artist.
